Outcomes

Outcomes

  1. Each member organization now has stories from their colleagues and their stakeholders that can be used for advocacy in their collective mission to break down the barriers to STEM access in Black and brown communities using digital fabrication and making
  2. Tools and resources that they can use to continue to foster equity within their orgs and programs using Storytelling as their major tool.
  3. There were a few other outcomes that were not anticipated, as expressed by workshop participants via the Padlet Activities, but useful going forward in the work. For example, one participant noted that the internal interview process and storytelling “revealed the good, the bad, and the ugly,” quite possibly leading to some planning for how to build upon the good, learn from the bad, and makeover the ugly. Another shared how the experience with her interviewee made her think differently about the work: “Ayanna’s responses make me think we should elevate the voices of more young people in this work and partner with them to make the change at every level.”
